“For the surfing you grew up on” & what that means to me.

This month has been wild. My wife’s car had some trouble, mine needed some overdue maintenance, and both cost money we really didn’t want to spend. Then her A/C officially gave up. Florida in August… yikes.

It's been flat for a few days, and to top it off I hurt my hand badly enough to require a midnight trip to the ER. That slowed me down on just about every front this week.

Today didn't start in the easiest fashion. The baby woke up before sunrise and had a hard time settling back down, and so did my wife after getting up to comfort her. A few sleepy hours later, we were up on cue, hustling out the door and beach-bound.
