My earliest surf memories are quiet ones. I was a kid on California’s Central Coast, surfing in a wool sweater while my dad dropped me off before heading to work. Lineups were a lesson in patience and respect, a time long before crowding and constant documentation. It was freedom in its purest form.

When my parents moved us to Tennessee, being inland simply meant long drives to the Gulf Coast, chasing every cold front and hurricane swell. I joined the Marines hoping it would take me back to California, but got sent to Hawaii where I remained after my service. Back then, nights were for work and days were for surfing until the skin on my nose fell off.

That was until 2022, when a routine surf trip back to the mainland turned my life upside down. It was there I met Shannon, and after a lot of surfing and a few milkshakes, we were inseparable. I never went back to Hawaii. We got married, honeymooned on a Captain Kidd–inspired road trip, and the rest is history.

Surfing has brought me obvious things: a life by the coast, daily trips to the beach, even starting this business. But it’s also brought me my wife, my child, and a life I don’t hate waking up to every day. That’s more than a guy like me could ever hope for.

If we had to pick a mission statement, our hope would be to bring back a little of that childhood magic. Building ramps in the backyard with your friends on flat days. Cannonballs off the pier. Piling onto giant boards with your friends, leashes tied together, just to cross the inlet and reach empty waves.

This business isn’t to capture the perfect shot, or to sell you the perfect wave. This business is for the surfing you grew up on.
