THE WARM WATER PROBLEM
Sergeant Citrus Surf Wax was created because we wanted a wax that could handle the demands of warm-water surfing.
In warmer water temperatures many waxes soften, leaving a board filled with bald spots and exposed slick surfaces. To compensate, you add another layer. Before long, the deck becomes uneven, with thick buildup in some areas and thin patches in others, causing your feet to sink deeper into the wax instead of staying planted and ready to adjust when you need it most.
WHY SERGEANT CITRUS
Sergeant Citrus was developed to help prevent those problems before they start. Tested in Florida's demanding warm-water conditions, we created a formula that resists sludging and maintains a consistent feel through long sessions, changing temperatures, and sun exposure.
Sergeant Citrus is built for surfers who want grip where it counts, freedom where it matters.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
Surfing is special because it's one of the few experiences that lets you truly connect with the ocean. For us, the goal has always been simple: get as close to the wave as possible, and let nothing unnecessary stand in the way.
Your wax shouldn't be one of those things.
Before long, the deck becomes uneven, with thick buildup in some areas and thin patches in others.
Over time, that buildup can become uneven, causing your feet to sink deeper into the wax instead of staying planted and ready to adjust when you need it most. Even small foot movements can require extra effort, and when your foot finally breaks free, it may move farther than intended.
WHY SERGEANT CITRUS
Sergeant Citrus was developed to help prevent those problems before they start. After rigorous testing in Florida's demanding warm-water conditions, we created a formula that resists sludging and maintains a consistent feel through long sessions, changing temperatures, and sun exposure.
The first time we tested our wax, we did not expect it to result in a two-hour session in 82°F water. We were shocked, to say the least, and our special formula has been surprising users ever since.
We’ve spent a lot of years picking pieces of cardboard out of our trunks, and it’s a real bummer when the box you’ve saved all your little extra wax bits in gets dropped in the sand or eventually falls apart.
Maybe one day we’ll bring around a box type packaging, but for now, we’re really enjoying the extra protection of the tins our wax comes in!
The goal of surf wax isn't to glue your feet to the board, it's to provide reliable traction without restricting movement.
That's why we believe surf wax should maintain a consistent texture throughout your session, resist softening into heavy sludge, and stay where it belongs through every adjustment.
Pretty self explanatory but also something we’re very proud of - every tin of Sergeant Citrus surf wax is hand-poured in small batches right here in Florida!
