Sergeant Citrus was created because we wanted a warm-water surf wax that could keep up with the way we actually surf. After months of testing in Florida conditions, we developed a formula that delivers dependable grip through long warm-water sessions without melting as the session goes on.

It holds you securely, while still allowing the natural foot movement needed to adjust as you ride.

Every tin is hand-poured in small batches in Florida using our carefully developed formula, and packaged in a lightweight tin that helps protect your wax from sand, crushed boxes, and the realities of life at the beach.

Sergeant Citrus is built for surfers who want grip where is counts, freedom where it matters.

The first time we tested our wax, we did not expect it to result in a two-hour session in 82°F water. We were shocked, to say the least, and our special formula has been surprising users ever since.

We’ve spent a lot of years picking pieces of cardboard out of our trunks, and it’s a real bummer when the box you’ve saved all your little extra wax bits in gets dropped in the sand or eventually falls apart.

Maybe one day we’ll bring around a box type packaging, but for now, we’re really enjoying the extra protection of the tins our wax comes in!

The goal of surf wax isn't to glue your feet to the board, it's to provide reliable traction without restricting movement.

That's why we believe surf wax should maintain a consistent texture throughout your session, resist softening into heavy sludge, and stay where it belongs through every adjustment.
